Ciao @cryptpad and good morning (or whatever timeline 😅).
No luck.
I've updated Chrome from 123.0.6312.123 to very latest 124.0.6367.61 and even turned off uBlock and everything else.
Could it be a CORS issue?
I can't even use the "Support" button from Contact page.
I cannot see the drive also on a freshly downloaded LibreWolf portable browwser.

Could you please take a look?

Thanks for all the info. Considering it work as expected on your phone with Chrome, and that we have 1800 users connected, working on +15600 documents at this time, without anyone else reporting an issue, we think it's safe to assume the problem comes from your end.

Do you happen to use some kind of VPN? Or some custom DNS with domain filters? Have you tried with Mozilla Firefox? Both LibreWolf and Mullvad Browser enforce some rules that will likely break CryptPad at some point.

@AAMfP no worries! There is no issue for asking! Maybe try reaching out these web browser maintainers? It's a bit ironic that they disable functionalities that allow us to build a good, privacy focus product for the reason of "preserving your privacy"...

@privacybrowser we understand well these valid concerns of yours. However, building a fully open-source, end-to-end encrypted, privacy-first, full-fledged office suite, we couldn't do it without using the modern web browser functionalities: JavaScript, localStorage, IndexDB, WebAssembly and other web API standardized by @w3c.

We of course regret as well that these are often abused by bad actors (looking at you FAANG) but we can't be held responsible, nor take the blame for this.

Maybe @AAMfP, @privacybrowser is simply not the appropriate web browser for your needs.

Not judging about the product itself, its need, nor it's quality. But sadly, of course CryptPad cannot work without JavaScript or HTML DOM.

At the time where a lot of people are looking for privacy preserving alternatives, maybe it could be useful to clearly state that using such a web browser will break most functionalities of some services, even the privacy-preserving ones.

Hello! We are about to deploy CrytpPad 5.7 to CryptPad.fr, it should only take a few seconds but you might notice a little downtime. Sorry for that!

🚨 Due to an issue with our storage backend all existing documents and drives are in read-only mode on CryptPad.fr.

You can't create new documents as well. Or possibly login if you have second-factor authentification (2FA) enabled. We are aware of the issue and are working toward fixing it as soon as possible.

The delta chat group has now 48 members, all using guaranteed end to end encryption and several games and apps .... So far without a glitch, no "couldn't decrypt" errors, everything lightning fast, some people using multiple devices with their account, 30 people joining during live onboarding on day1 and using a editor together in the chat (cryptpad without a server basically). Seems like all the milestones of 2023 (guaranteed e2ee, web apps, chatmail) are ... Actually playing out ;)

Question for @cryptpad: I'm able to upload multiple files with the same name, possibly adding an optional description.
How can I read (or change, by the way) that description again?
Is it available somewhere?

@AAMfP hello! Thanks for reaching out! It's not possible to change the description of uploaded static files at this time, nor the alternative text on images. Could you tell us more about your use case? Maybe we can make it a feature request if it can be interesting for others as well!

🔑 This release paves the way for integrating CryptPad instances with Single-Sign-On () authentication. The 2nd piece of this feature is a plugin which we'll release in January 2024.

This release also adds the option to make mandatory for all users of an instance.

♿ Finally we are continuing to improve #accessibility across CryptPad. In this release the toolbar becomes much more navigable with the keyboard and (most) menus can be used with arrow keys. We will keep pushing on this until full #WCAG compliance. #a11y

Is there any way for an app to say “hey, disable the left/right swipe gesture”? Because this is present on @cryptpad and it's super annoying when trying to scroll a spreadsheet.

Chrome wasn't as sensitive to it as #firefox is.

Are you using your MacBook Pro touchpad? Do you use an external device like a mouse? If so, can you tell us the brand and the model? Can you tell us which MacBook Pro version you use as well?
