At least they aren’t riveting badges onto cars anymore I’ve heard that used to be super common during the 60s and 70s Personally I hate how my 56 bel air has a AAA of Syracuse screwed into the bodywork of my trunk so even if I remove it there’s still going to be a hole in my trunk so I’m personally pretty glad all this branding today are just decals and stickers that can easily be removed with a eraser wheel or plastic blades

I’ve been working on a sci Fi show where humans have this but they also have the ability to change their current physiology by infecting themselves with modified strains of cancer that slowly replaces you’re body with one you downloaded off the Internet this technology has also sorta obsoleted medicine because if you have a broken leg or infected with a fatel desese so long as the injury doesn’t affect your brain you can just replace your entire body by infecting yourself with genetically modified cancer

It’s also one of the main ideas behind the American constitution but we try to regulate power with checks and balances but because it’s kinda hard to understand having multiple leaders that rule over different parts of the government and make sure no one gets corrupt people over time seem to have only given a shit about who is in charge of the military and now we have presidents that can effect normal citizens by enacting laws and are unanimously considered our leader

Eh there’s also sometimes the foot e brake and sometimes when you’re thinking really fast and maybe have done a few switching from car to car you might just try to start a car and move with the e brake engaged thinking it was a clutch

As a guy who dailys a manual and weekend woriors a automatic car from the 50s it gets even more confusing because dispute not having a clutch it does have a floor dimmer switch so I still have 3 pedals and if I screw it up at night then sorry about blinding the guy in front of me with my upgraded led headlights

For me i suppose it doesn’t help that im also experienced 30s and 20s cars that have button pedals so everything but the brakes feel like a dimmer switch so I guess that also doesn’t help

As a 19 year old with a bench seated car from the 50s every time I take the homies out with it we do fr ride my car like the roaring plenty like when you don’t have a center console or seat belts of course everyone is going to call shot gun and get shot gun it’s the best part of such early automatics

Same with my cats I guess I’ve always been really lucky with cats but my cats only ever mew to get in or out the door and come when I call them I’ve also found that doing a silent snap for some reason also works as a way to get their attention and get them to come to me idk why but I suspect I might be making some sound that only they can hear since this trick works when it’s dark out or in a different room they always know im trying to get their attention no matter where I am

Yeah once I found these balls on my porch that kinda looked like frog eggs but where too small and not blonde together like frog eggs and at that kind of situation what do you even put in the search bar and reverse image searches only gave me pictures of frog eggs only when I made the post on Lemmy that I found out what chia seeds look like and that’s what I was looking at
