Most of the time playing multiplayer games and far too few boardgames. (Secret Hitler is really good by the way.)

I enjoy gaming content on Youtube and I'm interested in accessibility in gaming. It's such a wonderful and creative space right now!

aroneva, to splatoon

I've always played #Splatoon for the online battles, never really getting into single player.

Are there any important benefits from the story or the side stuff for the game?

Holy sh*t. If this verifies, it is close or at the limit of human survivability.

People often ask me "where's the best place to move to in order to avoid climate impacts?" I don't know the answer to that, but I do have a good answer for where's the worst place to move: the Middle East.

aroneva,

@ubi @andrewdessler I think this was a really good point to bring up! It also highlights how much of the climate discussion has been taken up by doomsday talk.

Let's focus on the actions: What can we do to slow climate change? What has already been done and learned?

I’ve had the hardest time getting motivated for the creator side of me.

I’m not sure why……

Changes I’ve wanted to make but not able to make the moves yet.

I think after summer things might fall into place.

aroneva,

@juter @heyfluxay Sometimes it also just shows if an idea isn't something you want to refine anyway. So, seconded this!

aroneva,

@heyfluxay For me it ebbs and flows, so it's just natural to feel stagnant at points. Especially if it's 'just a hobby'.

I start again when the stagnation starts to annoy a lot. 😂

One concrete tip that works for me: Timer for 20 minutes. Work on a thing for 20 minutes and then stop if you want. Usually after that point I have gotten into the groove and can continue easily.

aroneva,

@heyfluxay @juter Ah, that kind longer form can be daunting, I bet. 😬 Hopefully you find a path that makes it worthwhile again!

The KeyBird has landed!! 🐦⌨️

aroneva,

@hootalex Side note: Any idea of a community around keyboard building in Europe or Finland?

aroneva, to Games

Sort of an #introduction. I mostly play #multiplayer #games and recently have been chasing detective and problem solving games.

Now playing:

Legend of Zelda - Tears of the Kingdom #TotK
Deep Rock Galactic #RockAndStone
Rocket League #RocketLeague
#GunfireReborn

Games I have fond memories of:

#Tunic
#DiscoElysium
#ShadowOfMordor
#CastleCrashers
#LoversInADangerousSpacetime
#Portal2
#BotW
#ReturnOfTheObraDinn
#OuterWilds

Anticipating:

#Pikmin4
#SuperMarioBrosWonder

aroneva,

@ProfWaffles Thank you! #DiscoElysium can surely be a trip. 😄 The narrative and story is interesting.

The skill system is also cool, and by design you can't have it all. Choose the skills you want to level up. They have an actual effect on how the game progresses.
