@stux oh die opvouwbare bagagekarren zijn echt zó 'n uitkomst... wij hebben er 2 en ze hebben hun nut al zo vaak bewezen. Ook wanneer we wel met de auto reizen, maar bv een terrein niet op kunnen of mogen met de auto!

Wat een droom!

Ik kreeg ineens een stageplek aangeboden bij een lokaal pornomagazine. Ze zochten journalisten.

Ik ging naar het interview met twee vrienden, in een blauwe auto, en we hadden ook een witte kat mee.

Ik droeg een nat oranje polo-shirt en geen schoenen.

Even op adem komen nu, hoor.

Glass beads were a luxury product in Bronze Age central Europe. These 3,000 year-old beads were found in the pile-dwelling settlements of Sipplingen and Hagnau-Burg at Lake Constance. They were probably made in the Alpine foothills from raw glass imported from Italy.

@ninawillburger reminds me. I was wearing some glass beads during a roman reenactment festival, portraying a local woman. One person came to me, to point out, that the Romans didn't have glass beads, as glass was an invention of the middle ages. I stood there, flabbergasted, as she walked away... very proud of her "knowledge" 🤣🤣🤣

Recently my youngest "brother" (only by blood) has gotten in touch with our mom again so I was very suspicious cause he only does this when he or his other evil half needs something

And ofc! :flan_laugh: Mom just called with the story that they are having issues with debt and addiction bla bla.. So I strongly adviced my mom not to give them anything anymore since it will be gone forever like many times before

Just trying to protect mom from evil kids.. My brothers suck so hard :banhammer:

@stux wij hebben ook iemand in de omgeving die telkens weer om geld vraagt. Altijd zogenaamd om eten te kopen.
We bieden tegenwoordig altijd aan om boodschappen te doen, maar dat hoeft dan vaak weer niet 🤪

Zit er iemand op Goodreads, of weet er iemand een goed alternatief?

Achtergrond: ik heb me dus voorgenomen om wat meer te lezen. (Ben begonnen aan 'La Vieille' van Georges Simenon. Mijn tweede voornemen is om mijn verroest Frans wat WD40 te geven.)

Ben op zoek naar allerlei leestips, vandaar. ik lees uitsluitend fictie, en van het soort waar personen centraal staan. My all time favourite is El ingenioso hidalgo don Quixote de la Mancha. (dat is trouwens mijn leestip aan jullie!)

Net klaar met boek 2 van de Skinjacker trilogie. En holy shit, dit is een kinderboek dat met fantasie en sprookjesachtige figuren haarfijn vertelt hoe machtshebbers langzaam kunnen wegzinken in hun eigen waanzin.

Waar boek 1 nog stonk naar YA bullshit, is boek 2 volledig volwassenen geworden.

Boek 1: 3,8 sterren (dus 4) van mij. Boek 2 is wel 10 sterren waard! Op naar boek 3!

Als Romeins reenactor hebben we "authentiek" aardewerk, dat we tijdens optredens gebruiken. En ja, soms sneuvelt er wat. Dus als kerstcadeau liet ik voor mijn man een nieuwe beker maken. Een zogenaamde spreukbeker. Met grapje. Want een tekst die we kennen van dit soort bekers, is bv. 'bibere', Latijn voor 'drinken'. Met een kleine toevoeging, wordt dat 'bierbere'... 😉
