A beautiful Sunday. Second long run of the weekend, kept it easy after yesterday's interval long run. Stunning skies for the pup walk. Yoga practice 1000/1000 this evening. A moment of celebration for a goal reached - a thousand yoga practices.

Registered! The leaves are turning, the weather is getting colder, the time has come to register for a race to keep me warm through the winter! 80km/50miles coming up in May! Woot!

Defence prep continues! Diving into more contemporary and adjacent literature. I'm tired. I would gladly be snoozing alongside the pup. The determined march towards the finish line continues! Slowly, slowly, slowly.

Is it bad that I am more excited about the possibility of having one less thing to do (eventually) than I am about the possibility of crossing the finish line?

Tallied up my running totals for the year so far. Will surpass 2022 on tomorrow's run. Aiming for the next nice round number by the end of the year. A little personal "most kilometres ever in a year" challenge to provide a little bit of interest in the off season! Starting to consider races for 2024 so this feels like good preparation. Beautiful fall running! Perfect weather for getting outside!

Pup kept complaining that I was sitting in her chair. Every time I would sit down to work she would whine until I got up. Luckily for her, my work chair happened to be one of a pair! A little furniture Tetris and now we sit side by side to work. She is also now better positioned to supervise my yoga practices!

Apple picking! Pup not allowed in the orchard so I got to enjoy a beautiful walk around the outside of the farm while the crew picked apples. Slightly different family tradition but the same delicious apples. Oh my goodness, the most apple-y apples. The most wonderful time of the year!

Cosy autumn is here! Pup walks this week went from a humidex of 31 a couple of days ago to 11C today! It was raining and wet but the sun came out and treated us to a double rainbow! Beautiful day to be outside!
