Fond memories of "no shave november"

(I think the artist did this drawing from a photo of an ant that was dried and pinned and that explains the bizarre leg posture. Although some ants will stand like this as part of their "ritual intimidation dances" used to convince ants from other colonies to go away.)

Pat and I were just marveling at how expensive some of the Christmas trees are in the Hammacher Schlemmer catalog (no idea why the company sent us a catalog) — $2,200 for the most expensive one! Inconceivable!

It's big, 12 ft, and I said, "where would someone even store it?"

Pat said, "Store it? At $2,200 that thing stays up all year!" 🤣
