Idk about other places than Steam, but I’m surprised more people haven’t gone at Steam for allowing the game to be sold in countries that will get essentially blocked from playing. I feel like they should’ve had some kind of cross referencing going on there.
I still love Arrowhead. It’s not like their intention was to fuck over their players. I’m sure they’re not super happy about the situation. Though the team being who they are, they’re not exactly ones to take shit in any form lol. Which honestly makes them more enduring to me. Having suffered being a core BF5 player those devs these are not, DICE had bent over backwards to whoever screamed loudest on the subreddit which did nothing but damage the game and its lifespan. Granted this situation isn’t totally comparable, but the parallels are there.
I love dude. He’s made a fan. He didn’t make the decision and he can’t fix it for you. So he’s really just saying to leave him tf alone about it lol. Nut up or shutup.
I know. I’m going to be playing tonight. I didn’t bat an eye at this announcement… Mainly because it’s been known since day one. People are acting like this is new information. And I don’t care if less people play. Still will have plenty of players. I play with cross play turned off on PS5 to avoid cheaters anyway… so this literally isn’t going to change anything for me.
They already sold many times more than they ever expected.
Hopefully Sony will see this as the biggest problem and do something about it. I don’t think these people should have been able to spend money on this for it to be taken away, but that’s a storefront issue as well. Steam and Sony will have to make some decisions about this, cause it wasn’t thought out and implemented very well. They should’ve had some stronger safeguards.
Exactly. That’s why I play with cross play off on PS5, but I also think PC players shouldn’t get locked out if they can’t make an account in their country, so in my eyes that’s the big fuck up. And it’s Sony’s fault, not Arrowhead. They should foot the community wrath and the remedy.
We were in 93% and it was still a really cool experience imo. Seeing just the tiny sliver of sun shining thru was pretty neat with the correct eyewear. Our office just stood outside looking at the sky lol
They could have easily crammed the Steam Deck full of stuff to make it hard to use for piracy - locking down everything, making it usable only to play games you legitimately own, force you to go through who knows what hoops in order to play games on it. That’s what Nintendo or Apple or most other companies do....
I’m 26 and I’ve been living on my own for 4 or 5 years now. I’m poor as shit and can’t get ahead on debt, I wish I had the opportunity to live at home because I’m going nowhere right now and I’m making what would be considered a decent amount of money for my age and position. Shit is miserable.
