Imagine a world in which Joe Biden was exactly the same, somewhat progressive on gay/trans rights, pro union, green energy, immigration is the same except he was anti abortion.

He works with Republicans to pass anti-choice legislation. He gets up on national TV and calls pro choice protesters "pro child murder" as they're being arrested.

And every time it's a particularly embarrassing news day, a bunch of men get online and go "see you HAVE to vote for him still because Trump would..."

If a politician fucks up an issue that is important to a section of their electorate, of course their electoral chances will go down. This is natural and how it works. It's only with the Palestinian issue that Arabs and Muslims specifically are being asked by white liberals to take one for the team. For "American democracy" so-called, which seems to require an uninterrupted steam of blood of brown children to operate

@WhiteCatTamer @shoq as opposed to simply voting for the "lesser" of two bad parties even as they openly collaborate with the right and even move further right on issues like immigration.

My favorite way to "shift or eliminate political power" is to commit to voting for someone no matter what and not exert a single bit of pressure on those currently in power. This is an intelligent and winning strategy. Right

@WhiteCatTamer @shoq my aim is not to honestly engage because people who watch Israel bomb tent cities full of children and their only response is "uh but Trump would be worse!!" are NOT honestly engaging to begin with. They are playing team sports.

They talk about how much we need to vote because Democrats are easier to bully than Republicans, but then never pressure Democrats when they are in office. It's all just lies and cheerleading. I'm just fucking sick of seeing it trending

People dragged me left and right a few years ago when I wrote about how the hate for the Yasuke anime was obviously racially motivated. They insisted it was simply because people wanted grounded historical fiction and not the fantasy and sci-fi elements that show had.

Now there's a Yasuke video game that's the exact grounded historical fiction people wanted and it still gets unimaginable hate. Am I supposed to be confused now? Shocked? Or maybe we can admit what's actually happening??
