I keep hearing about layoffs, studios being closed and how the industry is troubled. Are companies losing money and sales are poor, or is it the same as Google and other companies laying off people just to pump their stock price and make money despite profitability?
It’s less about profit and more about sustained growth. During the COVID lockdowns publishers saw a big bump in cash flow due to increased sales and subsidies. That caused them to hire new employees en masse among other investments because in the corporate world there is no such thing as leaving money unspent. Money needs to earn more money because capitalism and shareholders.
After the lockdowns, that extra cash flow receded quickly. The response from publishers to keep their growth rate from also falling is to lay off employees and reduce risks.
The news media learned nothing from all the free press they gave Trump in 2016. Even when he isn’t doing anything they still have to make it into a headline.
Save the ink for when there’s actually a development in one of his criminal cases. These kinds of articles should be ignored and downvoted to stop people from spreading them.
I never completed Arkham Knight and only played the first two games which I really liked. But for some reason I can’t get into Arkham Knight. I find myself overwhelmed by the controls that seem to do something different all the time....
Origins is better, in my opinion. It’s the black sheep but it’s my favourite in the series.
Arkham Knight is my least favourite but I still like it. If you really hate the tank sections, though, you might not like it no matter how long you play. That’s a pretty big part of the game, and it’s not great.
The story is also dumb.
major story spoilersIt would have been way better if Barbara was the arkham knight, having faked her death and the suit could have had mechanical legs to help her walk and her voice digitally altered to sound like a man. Instead we got another Jason Todd as the Red Hood with a different name.
ETA: I’m curious whether the downvotes are because I think Origins is better or because you don’t like my idea for how the story could have been improved.
A 2020 Cochrane review that assessed the two clinical trials concluded that “whether adults see their dentist for a check‐up every six months or at personalized intervals based on their dentist’s assessment of their risk of dental disease does not affect tooth decay, gum disease, or quality of life. Longer intervals (up to...
This is one of those cases where I invoke my policy of “don’t let the person charging you money for something tell you how often you need to do it.” It’s like companies selling mattresses saying you should replace them every 6-8 years.
But since it’s WB Discovery, there’s still a chance they’ll cancel its release completely for a tax break. If they could pull it from theatres and people’s brains retroactively they would.
When I turned 35 my family forgot about it and I accidentally ran over my neighbour’s cat on the way home. I drank more that night alone than on my 21st birthday when my Australian friend fed me shots and I ended up vomiting in my gift bag.
The “random upset people” on the former side were perfectly happy to give their money to the “corp” on the latter side before the TOS change. This has nothing to do with how untrustworthy Sony has been in the past and everything to do with upset Gamers wanting to keep their outrage party going even after they got what they wanted.
