And some how think the NHS doctors they have underpaid and over worked don’t get to respond with a strike timed to try and convince voters to not vote tory.

It will be a low turn out election. So honest.y do not under estimate the tories ability to pull a rabbit out. Low turn out is to their advantage.

Just remember under FPTP refusing to vote for the lesser of two evils. Is a vote for the greater.

Also watch local polling. This election changes many tory safe seats. But also seems to be predicting changes in the most likely party to win against tories. So keep an eye on the numbers in your constituency. So you can choose the lesser evil most likely to lose a tory a seat.

Left wing voters with no one representing there views. Can get pissed of as well.

Fptp is far from a motivating system. Some of voters really do not think starmer will be any better.

I personally tend to be anything but the tories. But many in the UK are less political and do not see starmer as anything but another living politician.

Technically it is not a cure for type 2. But a repair to further damage caused by a life of type 2.

The type 2 diabetic is still insulin resistant after this treatment. It is just some of the harm that resistance dose to their islet cells. Makeing them partly mimic type 1 diabetes with reduced insulin production. Can be rebuilt with stem cells.

The patient will still need to eat and manage carbs as a well treated type 2 must. To avoid having issues.

Its worse the that. Many think now it is reversed. As T2 is a resistance to insulin. And without insulin you cannot gain energy from your diet. It is now commonly accepted that those prown to t2 diabetes are often forced to eat due to the body gaining less energy from food.

So being genetically prown to to can lead to weight gain prior to diagnosis. Rather then weight gain leading to to t2d.

Disabled bus passes as well.

And because anyone with these photo id bus passes has proven their identity to local government. In much the same way the voter id card will be confirmed. So why waste money checking again

Likely also they less likely to have a driving licence. So it helps reduce prejudice against those unable to drive. But that really dosent sound very tory.

Because at 70 they are required to renew every few years. Stating they have no issues effecting health.

The older you get the more likely you are to have health ans eye issues that prevent you driving.

Over confidence may very well turn the election. Remember tories are trying to turn a group known to actually turn up and vote.

Low voter turn out really is the biggest risk of a tory win.

Do not under estimate the % of 40 to 50 yo who will support this national service crap.

53 myself. And while I never have liked it. It is far from unpopular in my age group. Add the fact polls are already predicting low 50% turn out numbers in some areas.

Please please don’t get over confident. Ensure your friends know turn out may well lead to more tory rule. Even if its a minority lead party. It may well effect things once some stupid attack on labours leadership starts.

Come on we all know a 2024 bacon sandwich moment is coming. The tories may be evil. But they know how to play this game.

Success is no proof of comparative ease.

Just that the division is actual evidence that a different approach is needed. And let’s face it. In most daily situations the military has a do it the way we always have attitude.

Thanks for sharing though. Its a good story to share.

As I said we did it in the UK. Not just with regular troops in ww2. But spy units were trained in secret (along with the home gaurd). To act as a resistance if Germany ever took the UK.

This was made up of retired and protected industry non conscripts.

Much of it only released under the official secrets act in the last 20 years. They were literally trained to sabertarge the German lines and keep the resistance active if our government was removed.

But as I say. Its a different thing to train older people. Unless they have had reason to remain fit. Many take more time. And care to train to military standards. The higher level their carreer the more likely much of it was spent at a desk.

And teens leaving school are more used to being directed in the way they are expected to think. Old folks have good reason to think they may know better.

As I said harder to train not impossible. Often best with a more flexible approach then the break down and rebuild most basic training attempts.

And my grandfather died a few years back. But could not keep up was not a phrase I’d dare use untill the last few years. But generalisations have value when folks are making decisions based on a whole nation.

Yeah you are correct. My parents were born in the 40s so dad served for a while. But dosent support the idea. So even some of that age are sane. Ish :)

But 90yos do vote. And its not just folks who served. As that was mainly men. But folks who looked at their fathers as examples of the great generation. Etc

I honestly don’t think its a winning strategy. But then a bacon sandwich also should not form a winning strategy. But did.

The arguments are less dumb then the ones that won the AV and brexit referendum. So I’d still say. Dont underestimate the tories.

We sorta do in the UK. Cameron set one up with his big society claim. He even claimed he’d consider making it mandatory for teenagers.

Issue is it is funded as well as any service under the tories.
