Here is a look at the fights in Cappimon, an RPG/Platformer hybrid for the GBC. You don't harm any Cappimon during these battles. Instead, you fight their master while avoiding Cappimon attacks. My intention is to create a system of battling that mixes the traditional RPG fight with something like Undertales more action oriented fights (but with platforming).

My new Simpsons Fan Game is out!

Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge 2 is a sequel to the wholly unsuccessful, critically panned golfing simulator featured in season 7 of The Simpsons.

In this Point & Click Adventure, you play as Lee Carvallo. Puzzle your way through a series of events in his life. Sleep where he sleeps, eat what he eats, golf where he golfs!

For a while now, I have been concerned about a trend I see surrounding the public discussion of homebrew titles within the scene. This problem is a serious lack of critical reviews of commercial GB homebrew titles.

To address this, I have written a Letter to the GB Community discussing why I think this is the case and why I think this is a serious issue for the overall health of the Game Boy community moving forward.

Actors André Gregory and Wallace Shawn have partnered up and started their own indie dev studio! They've secured the rights to a little golf game from 1995. That's right, you can expect a sequel to the mildly successful, critically panned golfing sim Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge!

I've been playing Dangan GB by Snorpung recently. I never thought I would see a bullet hell like this on the Game Boy. No idea how you can get something like this to work within the limitations. I highly recommend it if you haven't given it a shot!

Working on Grimace's Birthday for the GBC for McDonald's was an amazing opportunity.

For the skateboarding levels, I was inspired by Tony Hawks collectibles like the video tape and SKATE letters and tried to translate those fun skating lines through a 3D space into a 2D one.

The second skateboarding level, with its multiple routes to the goal and springs to give the player quick vertical momentum, was inspired by the Sonic games.

@ronald Hey, thanks! Yes, we spent a long time trying to get the grinding and jumping to feel good. Bryan Taylor (the coder) did a really good job, especially considering how short the development timeline was.
