I like “carbon mineralization” a lot more than “enhanced weathering”. And the article also mentions the distinction nowadays between “carbon dioxide removal” and “carbon capture and storage”. Thanks for the updates, on terminology and otherwise.

Some gas stations in Florida may have gas contaminated with diesel (see list) (www.tampabay.com)

In short: due to mishandling at the Port of Tampa Bay, some gasoline has been contaminated with diesel, and this gas was distributed to various gas stations – mainly along the Gulf Coast of Florida (particularly unfortunate due to Idalia) but also elsewhere....

Yeah, there’s a variety of BioBlitz events; this one just happens to be one of the bigger sets of events.

Oh, you might already know this but I just wanted to mention that there’s City Nature Challenge in May, which is also a BioBlitz run in a bunch of different places (similar to the Parks for Pollinators event in that regard).

Two Newts in the Yard (mander.xyz)

Two newts I've found in the yard. The top-most is more recent, and the orange one below is from last October. Both are Eastern Newts (Notophthalmus viridescens), and over on iNaturalist the orange one was identified down to subspecies Central Newt (N. viridescens ssp. louisianensis)...
