I'm trying to do the whole 'get a map printed on black cloth' thing. So far I only seem able to pre-order large quantities up-front, which I pay postage on, and then have to package up and post myself (double-posting costs). Any quality alternatives?

@Fluttermind I am on a podcast called Eggplant ( @eggplantshow ) where we talk to other game developers and get a little deep into the nitty gritty of making games and talk about process and stuff. We've had a lot of very cool and interesting indie devs on in the past — I'd really love to have you on and talk to you about moonring. Is that the kind of thing you might be interested in?

@joshuatree @Fluttermind @grumpygamer The main reason I haven’t is an issue with the M2 board: it doesn’t support LuaJIT, which the game uses. If you want a Mac version, come to my Discord!

Wow. People really are freaked out by the whole ‘it’s free’ thing. THERE IS NO TRICK to Moonring’s pricing. It’s a super niche game. The money I’d make is outweighed by the goodwill of giving a gift. Seriously.

@jamesgecko @grumpygamer The only reason I don’t is that it sucks on M1 style chipsets. So go ahead!

@grumpygamer @jamesgecko So, the game requires LuaJIT, which doesn’t run properly on M1 for some reason, and causes some horrific memory/disk thrashing.

@DeadlyEssence01 Any dungeon without a specific number of rooms is usually rejected. Might be a secret door?

@DeadlyEssence01 Oh. This is apparently happening because the game updated while you were in the dungeon. :-( There are several ways around it. First up, press shift-d to kill your character.

@DeadlyEssence01 If the gate is locked, just press ‘ (by the tilda key) to open the Console, walk to the gate and type ‘dig’. It’ll nuke the gate. :-)

@_benui Yup. About a hundred times faster than Zerobrane. All takes a little work to set up but then it’s great.
