The messaging on your “Do Not Sell My Info” footer link is a bit confusing. ^_^

This paragraph (2nd paragraph) suggests turning it “off”:

> You may opt-out of the sale of your personal information by toggling the button below off (green is on, grey is off).

While this paragraph (5th paragraph) suggests turning it “on”:

> Do not sell or share my personal information / opt out of targeted advertising (If you select On you are asking us not to sell or share your personal information and opting out of targeted advertising)

I'm not sure if it should be “on” or “off”. ^_~

If I may suggest, you can remove the second paragraph, as it is also explained in the 5th paragraph.

Then the 5th paragraph can be reworded to something like:

> Turn on the “do not sell or share my personal information” option. If this option is enabled (green “on”), we will not sell or share your personal information and you are opting-out from targeted advertising. (Default is: off.)

• I used “turn on” since it's simpler (more understandable to a wider audience; than using words like “enable”/“disable” and “toggling”; also the button is labelled “Off/On”.
• Since the default is “Off”, it's more appropriate to “Turn it ‘on’”.

If, by any chance, the 2nd paragraph is needed according to your legal team, may I suggest something like:

> You may choose to not allow the sale of your personal information by turning “On” the button below (“On” is color green; “Off” is grey).

• Also simpler for a wider audience. Especially in countries where English is not a major part of their curriculum.

Hello Fediverse!

Today we're taking another important step in our journey to fully federate Flipboard.

This morning we federated 1,000 Flipboard Magazines curated by the publishers we have been testing federation with in addition to 20 new publishers we are federating today. These include magazines like Adventure Travel by Outside, Eater DC by Eater, Explore NYC by Thrillist, Throwbacks by SPIN, and Climate Tech by Bloomberg.

Flipboard Magazines are a simple way to curate articles, images, videos and podcasts into a thematic feed. This powerful curation tool has been at the heart of Flipboard since 2012 with millions of magazines curated since about recipes, road trips, architecture, books, tech trends and so much more.

Federated magazines become native #ActivityPub feeds and can be followed by anyone on Mastodon. For example, check out my Following the Fediverse magazine @following

I believe that thoughtfully curated feeds have the power to make social media a lot more effective and inspiring so I'm excited to bring millions of these magazines to the #Fediverse as we federate all public curators in the next few weeks.

@Flipboard @toddg hi there! I more than 130 comments on the Flipboard User Magazine. I am not able to see them either on my iPhone or my iPad.
I see the messages in my updates but I can’t access them. I just get a blank screen. Please advise #flipboard #techsupport #magazine

Sure wish it worked when I try to get @Flipboard to mute faux news. It's bad enough YouTube doesn't provide any way to block channels from search results.

Question for @Flipboard how many contributors are you allowed to have on a magazine? I have 103 on my user magazine. Is that why this magazine keeps crashing?

Today we’re announcing the addition of PixelFed and Bluesky to our social web integrations on Flipboard.

Now you can see posts from Mastodon, PixelFed, Bluesky and, of course, Flipboard all in the same user experience. You can favorite, reply to, and boost any post. You can follow any user. You can explore any hashtag. And you can post text, photos and links to any timeline. Bluesky is available today for Flipboard on iOS and Android. PixelFed will be live in a few days.
