There is certainly truth in that.

Writing off a human being is never fun, even if its a lunatic bunch like the MAGA crowd.

But here starts the issue: The moment a human breaks away from the boundaries of reality, the chances of rescuing them just become so slim, expending the energy is not really worth it anymore. Maybe you do that with a dear friend or family member, but not with large ammounts of people in this country.

Another problem: They actively dismiss things that are objectively killing humanity as a whole. Climate Change, increasing far-right, ecocide, late-stage capitalism.

If they were just a bunch of cult-followers that would be one thing, following a grifting half-dead corpse of an epstein-friend to his never to early grave. But they are not only an obstacle, but a clear and present danger to humanity itself.

It genuinly pains me to say this: We simply do not have the time anymore do be compassionate. We either throw them off the ship, stear clear of the iceberg and save the ones who want back on board, or we all go down together.

I would be in politics, if I had a working idea.

Maybe something like:

• Educate the young into progressive ideas
• Wait for the old guard to die off
• Try save the planet in the meantime
• Bring back class-struggles
• Make abortion a big topic, because they loose on that
• Mock and laugh at Republicans openly at every opportunity (They have no spine, but a big ego to hurt)

Conservatives. Same as always.

Democrat or Republican are shorhands nowadays, but the real problem is people who cant move on, when the world did.

Conservatism is the problem. And today, all Republicans are just entirely and idealogically that, while maybe some Democrats are to a slight degree. But practically nothing in comparisson.

Dont be Conservative. Move on. Or get left behind, like their ideas they desperately cling to.

Conservatives are reactionary. Per deffinition they oppose progression of the world.

This is pretty much informed simplicity at this point. Stop derping around with definitons who fail to encapsulate reality, you miss the point:

You fail to move on? Conservative! No matter how you slice it.

Whenever some GOP smooth-brain spews something about gay marriage being a sin, remember that this thing was illegal for some time. That thankfully changed, but their minds didnt.

They are stuck in a past that no longer should exist but they crave nonetheless:

Nostalgia. Not even once.

Ich kann diese Leute nicht mehr ernst nehmen.

Seit einer Weile schon werden Politiker offen terrorisiert, kurz nachdem sie sich gegen Rechte äußern. Zerstochene Reifen, Hakenkreuzgeschmiere, Androhen von körperlicher Gewalt, Brandstiftung. Das volle Programm.

Und die Polizei sieht keinen Zusammenhang, oder will keinen sehen. Totalversager. Mittäter.

Ich warte nur darauf, dass ein Politiker sich am Abend nach einer Rede mit dem Brecheisen im Vorgarten versteckt. Die anrückenden Braunen werden dann ganz schnell rot sehen, weil das Blaulicht kaputt ist.

It has fueled suspicion that the true intent of the law is to hide the problem rather than try to tackle it.

He is a republican, what do you expect from him? A soul, compassion or basic human decency?

I love it when people with mountains of money and free time spend that all on being the worst version of themselves.

In the same position, I would just help my fellow humans, but maybe thats the reasons Im so poor in the first place…

A few reasons:

• To much Money rots away your character
• You dont get to be on top and be compassionate at the same time
• She is a sexist (men-hater in her case) and uses trans-hate to vent her pent up frustration

She is not (and likely never has been In my assumption) a good person. She just got lucky once and now has all the time to be her true, unrestrained and ugly self.

Sehr lesenswert!

Die Kurzfassung:

• Wenn Menschen sozial, ökonomisch und plotisch im Stich gelassen werden, wähle sie eher rechts.
• Die junge Generation stellt immer mehr gegen die alten Werte, auch wenn es auf dem Land nicht immer so ist
• Auf dem Land ist der Rechtsstaat nicht besonders präsent oder aktiv
• Rechte haben ein reduziertes Weltbild, wenig bis keine Fakten und sind von Emotionen (viel davon Wut) angetrieben

Alles in allem nichts neues auf der Faktenebene, aber der persönliche Touch der Geschichte ist wirklich eindrucksvoll.

We are at a point where it is almost comical.

Everything is thrown into the ring except higher wages in a desperate effort to uphold shareholder profits high and growth, while simultaniously keeping an ever more disgruntled workforce in line. People are told to cut back more and more, while you read headlines about record company profits next to ones about massive ammounts of workers being fired.

The only good thing about it is the increasing dissolution of “work and company ethics” it causes.
