Some Cormorants having a day at the beach and further along said beach - some furry friends, Grey seals.

A group of Grey seals resting on the Whiteness Head beach, Inner Moray Firth. The cranes in the distance are part of a regeneration of an old oil industry yard, nowadays for renewable energy.

Since it's still pouring rain... 🙄 Although you still have to be reasonably careful with the pro camera gear, doing my job in wet conditions is still possible and I actually love it, as you see the dolphins in neutral, flat light with no glare on the wet skin - here's a young dolphin playing "Frisbee" with a jellyfish in the rain. .

@simonvarwell They (VS) have been trying to do this for a long time. Years ago when I was running the Dolphin & Seal Centre at North Kessock, VS asked if we could take a load of leaflets, posters and stuff from them PLUS do B&B bookings as the NK site was closing. That only left the Inverness office for the whole area. VS has never been fit for purpose in my opinion, despite having great, skilled staff. Nowadays all they are interested in is bloody Instagram "influencers".

Cobbled streets, like Regent Moray Street in the West End of Glasgow, are nice, but it's important the stone setts are replace properly after any work is carried out on utilities beneath them, rather than just randomly chucking them back into a poorly filled hole as seems have been the case here!
