#today Dismal Wizard scuttled out onto the porch to take the morning photos while we kip inside. The images here are all iPhone 11 rushes (not yet edited) of the nice morning light we are enjoying.

Rocky has a manicure and Missy a weight check in late morning.

Missy is leaving some of her morning ration so Dismal Wrangler (aka “minion”) is slipping here some natural peanut butter.

Puppy had her first meeting with a herd of cows today, the species her ancestors were bred to herd. It did not go well—she went into a blind panic and ran away as fast as her perfectly bred little legs could carry her. I hope her ancestors weren't looking.

(I didn't get it on video but here's her a minute into her flight looking back to see if the cow is in pursuit.)

After 15 years of using an iPhone, I'm considering switching to Android. I've ordered a cheap Samsung just to try it for a while before buying a top-end model.
Let's see if I can get used to it.

(I'm also a Mac user so there will be some trade-offs..)

I really like the Busycal iOS app, does anyone know a good #Android alternative? It syncs with my calendar & tasks on Nextcloud.

This page can take you to product from other NWS and NOAA products like space weather (solar flare particles) etc.

I played this record in the car 🚘 and decided to hear it in the lounge. I started in Apple Spatialize Audio but it was rubbish and switched to #qobuz #lossless via #roon. The haze cleared up. Apple compresses the main channels to make all the Dolby Atmos other stuff fit in an AirPods Pro pipe. The Maggies didn’t like it. Tubby bass.

Not so bad Monday but still blowy. Doggos are being lazy at the moment. #Today #VAwx promises fair, a tad cool for early spring, and small craft advisory and likely surf gnatsie advisory. And of course, a paddlers advisory about the still cold bay.

These are the same photos appearing in Monday's sign-on but after they have been edited. iPhone 11 camera does not like the sun in its eyes. Images were raw so I could "rescue" them.

@ivory has closed out its blue period to enter its entered its cyan period. All of the accent colors are now cyan including addresses and tags and the various UI icons. Fortunately, there is adequate contrast. Guys, always remember to Uncle Tim Test for readability. Any lighter would be trouble.

Ode to our new washer and dryer.
I know it seems silly to get excited about new appliances, but that is the direction my life is going.
My daughter pestered me for more than a year to replace our 25 year old Maytags. I kept saying, but they still work. She kept saying they still run, but they don't work very well.
Finally, she said they would buy us a new set as a gift. I was hesitant but caved. I didn't let them pay, but she made all of the arrangements.
She was so right. I am washing everything with enthusiasm. Instead of sounding like a semi backing up, the dryer sings to me when the load is dry. This is a happy thing.
I still had the manuals for the top of the line Maytags with the receipts attached. They cost just as much way back when as our new ones now.
I need to be less stubborn.
