I know some people won't be able to avoid it (including myself, they'll probably upgrade my work laptop to it sooner than later), but for my personal stuff, literally everything I've seen about Windows 11 so far suggests logically to ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS SOFTWARE AT ALL COSTS

It's after 10pm here on a Saturday night, and my music-finding post is finally done and posted! ⚡

Need help on 2 images of exposed - one who tried doing smear campaign, when I spoke out about how she abused me, my family & using social media to con/manipulate ppl. She's dangerous & recruits naive young POC, vulnerable older POC, vulnerable white gals into sex work. 2 of my friends experienced this with her & they didn't believe my early warnings, til they were abused by her & abandoned in a town they knew no one.

I forget exactly when I bought this HP laptop I'm currently using. It was at least 5 years ago, and I grabbed it for school. It has Windows 10 that came on it preinstalled. I used it for a bunch of school stuff over the last few years, never had any issues.

Today, I'm trying to mess around in Excel, I'm logged into my Microsoft account like usual, and it's trying to tell me I have to pay now to keep using Excel? It just gives an option to pay or shut it down. After 5+ years of using legitimate, paid-for Microsoft Office products on here. SUCH weird garbage.

Super thankful for LibreOffice and being able to reset all my defaults to that.

sooo done with everyone having a subscription, man. Like I actually understand some SaaS fees where the product utilizes resources as a cost. But some software needs to be purchasable. Most of the big Windows updates I dont want or like.

I hate capitalism… but we couldn’t get one marketing exec in the room when we came up with “Fediverse” or “Mastodon” – or when we decided to have everyone type out “htttp://“ to post a link? We couldn’t get one person with a humanities degree? Not one brand intern? Maybe even just a random Gen Z person off the street? No? Okay.

I don’t need the lore. It’s fine. We’re here now. Onward and upward.

Personally I don't think those copyright lawsuits against AI will go anywhere, in the end just some financial settlements will be made, also cases will take years, not really in line with the speed of developments in AI.
