Cypher,

Correct me if I’m wrong but you mean Feirefiz? Who is a Saracen knight who attends a feast held by King Arthur and not one of Arthur’s knights?

I wouldn’t refer to Wolfram von Eschenbach a historian either.

Cypher,

You are missing the point.

Cypher,

The burden of proof is on the wrong party and convictions for fraudulent dmca claims are extremely rare.

Cypher,

FYI jet skis are much more dangerous than motorcycles.

Cypher,

You complete lack of knowledge of the British empire is hilarious in the context of a discussion on colonialism.

Cypher,

You know he doesn’t. Honestly I’m surprised he knows where the reply button is.

Cypher,

the United States when talking about colonial genociders considering it’s the OG

The OG huh?

What’s OG mean you inveterate cunt?

What came before the US you dense motherfucker?

Cypher,

Hunting stores must be going out of business huh

Cypher,

You’re not addressing his question at all.

That is bot like behaviour.

Cypher,

A couple of things you can easily improve on is contrast on the red with some highlights using a paint like Troll Slayer orange.

The second is that your white looks to be corax white which can be very hard to work with.

Generally you’re better off picking a warm or cool grey base colour, depending on the white you want, and then highlighting white. For example Grey Seer base layered with ulthuan grey looks like a cold white.

Where wraithbone layered with Pallid wych flesh looks like a warm white.

That said, your painting is neat and the scheme is solid so you’re off to a great start!

Cypher,

Try an extension to spoof your browser agent.

I set mine to spoof Chrome and my Firefox + ublock stopped having any issues with YouTube.

Cypher,

E-bikes are great, the issue is the morons using them.

Cypher,

I’m doubtful that the Goldfinger scene with Bond and Pussy Galore was intended to be interpreted as rape.

Cypher,

A lot of information on Wikipedia is misconstrued from the facts and intents present in their sources

Got a source for that claim?

Cypher,

Why did you link Wikipedia and not the sources?

Cypher,

Well most of the cited studies are a decade old, I’m just curious why you didn’t follow your own advice to others and cite the original source.

Cypher,

Not in countries with no fault divorce laws.

Cypher,

This contribution was based on the understanding that Syngenta would retain commercial exclusivity for the technology, including large agricultural setups in developing countries.

Lots of claims about it being for humanitarian purposes but there it is.

Cypher,

I did. Did you see the part about it being free only for farms which earn under $10,000 annually?

Do you have any idea of the history of litigation around cross pollination from GMO crops?

What happens when a small farmer cross pollinates a larger farm? Do they get sued the same way Monsanto sued farmers for the cross pollination of GMO corn?

There are many unanswered issues that could arise from allowing golden rice and trusting Western philanthropy, which has been weaponised against developing nations in the past, is a surefire path to costly sabotage.

Cypher, (edited )

That would be Syngenta, the big agricultural corp involved in the project.

  • Syngenta retains commercial rights, although it has no plans to commercialize Golden Rice.
  • “Humanitarian Use” means (and includes research leading to):
  • Use in developing countries (low-income, food-deficit countries as defined by FAO)
  • Resource-poor farmer use (earning less than US$10,000 per year from farming)

The key part to me is the under $10,000 USD per year from farming requirement. What happens when a larger farm gets accidental cross pollination?

What happens to farms with organic certification if their neighbours start growing golden rice and it cross pollinates?

There is a history of Western nations using “humanitarian” outreach to sabotage developing nations.

Assuming that Syngenta are entirely altruistic is a huge risk for developing nations.

Cypher,
Cypher,

Big corps aren’t involved?

Heard of Syngenta?

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syngenta

As for their involvement in golden rice see: www.goldenrice.org/Content2-How/how9_IP.php

Cypher, (edited )

The package contained proprietary technologies belonging not only to Syngenta but also to Bayer AG, Monsanto Co, Orynova BV, and Zeneca Mogen BV.

The sentence preceding the one you have quoted. This is also only in respect to proprietary tech that was used in the creation of golden rice and not the proprietary golden rice itself.

Regardless Syngenta has exclusive commercial rights to Golden Rice.

Syngenta retains commercial rights

So yes, I did read it, the whole article and several others. I understand the full picture and it isn’t as clear cut as some are making out.
