Climate change projected to warm shallow groundwater by up to 3.5°C.

Toxic forever chemicals are dramatically on the rise in Lake Michigan and have been detected in all of the Great Lakes.

The new study found airborne concentrations of PFAS — per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances — are much higher near Chicago, Detroit and other urban areas. Previous research recorded similar patterns for other toxic chemicals.
