Very much inspired by the recent post about what anti work actually means. If you were free from the “work or starve” paradigm, what would you do with your time? No wrong answers....
Excuse me? Immunology shots are freaking amazing. I’ve been on them for about 2 years and the difference between last spring and this sptirng is incredible. I no longer need Allegra daily.
I really hope noise pollution in general becomes a bigger topic of conversations. Yes, I hate gas leaf blowers and they ruin so many spring and fall days. But what about my annoying neighbor who insists on revving his Corvette at 5:30am? I hear that damn car for a good five minutes as they are driving away from the neighborhood.
It’s honestly hard to find a reason not to switch anymore. I switched myself recently and once I get more comfortable with it, I am putting Linux on my kid’s computer as well.
I installed Linux Mint three days ago. Nvidia drivers got installed automatically and I was able to load up steam and play right away. No idea what this meme is talking about
Microsoft is starting to enable ads inside the Start menu on Windows 11 for all users. After testing these briefly with Windows Insiders earlier this month, Microsoft has started to distribute update KB5036980 to Windows 11 users this week, which includes “recommendations” for apps from the Microsoft Store in the Start menu....
For now it just works. I have no complaints. I ran into just a few tiny snags and was able to resolve everything with a google search. It’s installed on my 10 year old desktop.
I don’t play anything multi-player so it’s not an issue. And I have to little time to play single player games I can simply ignore stuff that’s not compatible.
As far as VR, I am holding out hope that valve will make a Quest like VR headset.
McDonals used to have a $0.39 cheeseburger in the late 90s. Maybe it was a promo. $4 could get you 10 cheeseburgers and that’s what we used to get when I was lifeguardig.
Just forked over $25 because I have nothing to do at work. I’ve had a game idea kicking around in my head for a decade. Maybe it’s time to try making it.
I agree with you 100% but even adoption has been corrupted. Go to petfinder.com and search for a doodle. You will instantly see a bunch of puppies that are clearly from the same litter with an “adoption fee” of $800. I recently learned it’s called “retail rescue”.
We need to start heavily regulating breeders and educating the public.
The software maker will use the Recommended section of the Start menu, which usually shows file recommendations, to suggest apps from the Microsoft Store.
There are way too many games out there for me to care anymore. Once i build my new PC, its Linux only. If it doesn’t run on Linux, I don’t need to play it.
