The #listenbrainz #yearinmusic refresh is out now! We have re-run all the statistics for YIM 2023.

This means that anyone who updated their listen links, genre tags, and so on, will now see these changes reflected in their YIM page. We have also generated new YIM’s for anyone who recently imported listens from 2023.

Hey, ListenBrainz’s annual “Year in Music” just dropped! So here is a sneak pic of what I listened the most to this year.
To be fair, it’s not really representative. I only added the Web Scrobbler extension to my browser at the end of the year, so a lot of the stuff I listened to earlier in 2023 doesn’t appears here. That’s why My Chemical is not on this list for example.

The nine albums that I most listened to in 2023. They are, in order, “The Gods We Can Touch”, “Sunless Sea”, “Fascination”, “Queen of the Meadow”, “I Use My Powers for Evil”, “Rites of Blood and Dust”, “Midnight Lust”, “Ellipse” and “Life in Cartoon Motion”.
The ten artists to which I listened the most in 2023 are AURORA, the Birthday Massacre, Lesbian Bed Death, Maribeth Solomon, Brent Barkman, Elysian Fields, Imogen Heap, Blood and Dust, Mika and finally Winters of Blue.
The 10 songs I listened the most to in 2023 are “A Temporary High”, “Bend Your Mind”, “Cure for Me, “Precious Hearts”, “The Innocent”, “Blinding Lights”, “Queen of the Meadow”, “This Will Be The Day” and “Bad Guy”.
