One of my currently biggest "issues" with Friendica is handling re-sharing posts right. Like: If I use just "native reshare" on the post, behaviour differs according to where a post comes from. Meaning: Resharing Pixelfed or Mastodon posts will only make them visible to the AP crowd. Resharing Diaspora* posts will only make them visible for Diaspora* folks. Same for Tumblr and cough Bluesky. So I usually do use quote-sharing for content that matters (to me), which however results in being unable to use random Mastodon API clients (like #phanpy , #rodent , #tusky) for that - as in there, I can only (by now) boost Mastodon posts as far as it seems and I am unable to at least easily do a quote-share of an existing boost. Unfortunately, even though I really do force myself to use Friendica web / Frio all the time, it still leaves some things to be desired especially on mobile devices.
So, wondering: How do you folks handle this? Just use Friendica web and go with its "issues"? Just use whatever "reshare"/"boost" does without not bothering too much about who's able to see the posts? Or not interacting with any people outside the ActivityPub universe at all....?

Hi @Tusky! Why does my Start tab in #Tusky 25.2 (Android) give an error (An error has occurred) for this account? It works fine in the webversion, other tabs are working as well and re-adding the account to the app doesn't help. It started about a week ago with not updating the Start tab anymore with newest toots. My other account @josklever works fine.

Hi! I am having a problem when I write long posts: when a certain length is surpassed, the text is not shown in the edit window, even if I can it see the saved draft. Any idea? Thanks! #tusky
While on the web I see a lot of posts on my timeline. But using @Tusky I don't see as much, just a handful from a few people over and over again. Or is it just me? Like the last five minutes, tried refreshing but no new posts come up. For 5 minutes?
Perhaps I'm missing something, or need to do something on the settings?

I hope the crashes when sharing stuff from other Android apps towards Tusky are gone. Speaking of which: Is it possible that the text I am writing with Tusky automatically lands in the DRAFTS folder as a copy unless it is sent? So when some crash happens the text is still there.
@tiram Well, this differs depending what app / website you use to browse #Mastodon, but I see you are using #Tusky. According to their website, you click the hashtag when you see it and then tap the “follow” icon at the top right of the hashtag page.
Why do pictures and videos load extremely slow here?
I see a preview in a toot and click it to view it in total and it takes many seconds or minutes to load. Videos frequently get stuck at some point. Happens both with #tusky and the https://emacs.ch mastodon web UI. It doesn't seem to depend on my connection (which is good enough) or the instance the post originates from. At least I just had that issue with toots from hachyderm.io, mastodon.social, hostux.social...
Does anyone else here use #Tusky as their main mastodon accessing thing on their phone?
When I'm catching up on the overnight it seems to skip hours at a time which gets to be annoying.
I end up filling in the gaps on the default Mastodon app which I'm less keen on because of the jiggling "new post" marker that is constantly, and redundantly, at the top.

The bug causing it is now solved in Tusky 25.1. Now available on Play Store and in a day or two in F-Droid.

@itsfoss Just gave a second chance to #Moshidon after having authentication hiccups in the first one (still had them while setting up accounts today, but I figured it out). It presents the best of #MastodonApp and #Tusky:
