I do the same, however, #Amazon is going down the drain, too being "enshittified" with low-value Chinese products, in contrast to #Temu at rather Western price tags.
What is still useful are the user evaluations.
After reading them, I use #eBay and price-search engines to find these products at about the same or even a lesser price.
The only real exception being when I do need something "tomorrow."
Also, some chain-stores will offer the same price as Amazon, etc.

A while back, in response to a horror story from @gcluley about an Amazon order that went badly wrong, I mentioned we were trying Temu for the first time. Some asked to report back about our experience.
The order process was smooth, with an expectation set of a delivery date of last Saturday, 6th. We could track the order at every step, and saw a week earlier that it had arrived in the UK and cleared customs. Then tracking went silent.

This is one of my daughter's favorite toys and I got it for a couple of dollars on #Temu. I've been second guessing shopping there any more though because of something I read recently where the wares sold there might be produced via forced labor and Temu's response was not at all reassuring.

Solange Eltern, Kindergärten, Tagesmamis u.a. bei #amazon Plastikspielzeug aus #China bestellen oder noch besser bei #Temu bestellen, stellt sich für mich die Frage nicht wie diese Stoffe in die EU kommen.
Aber das ist nur ein Stoff über Microplastik redet schon keiner mehr.
