i just had to switch over to a gofundme account due to the fact that givebutter (the previous site i used for my rent fundraising) no longer allows individual fundraisers...as of last december. no notice was given and i had absolutely no idea till i was told in a response to an email inquiry i had for them the other day. 🫠 they closed my previous fundraiser link and thankfully i was able to get the remaining $150 i hadn't withdrawn yet transferred to my bank account. the remaining amount i currently need is $1,110.

Things are still pretty tough around here. My legs are playing up something awful, and I also have covid on top of everything else. I know I ask for a lot, I wish I didn't need to and I'm sorry about that. Things getting more expensive by the week are making things even tougher too.

If we are lucky enough to be able to stash away $ to fund our retirements, how should we be investing the $ to ensure:
(1) we won’t run out of $ before we die?
(2) the world is still biodiverse and widely habitable by the time we reach old age, and after we die?
Under current systems, trying to ensure (1) is making (2) very unlikely. We need new social and political systems.
