😭 I've painted 43 #DarkestDungeon#minis so far but still have 75 to go. If I paint 3 a week every weekend between now and November, I'll finish just in time for Wave 2. Ignore the fact that I'm getting about 500 #Gloomhaven minis early 2025.
I finally finished up my #FinalGirl#miniatures but having issues with how I want to photograph them for the blog.
Here are some examples of a really stylized version I did, that I think captures the #horror aspect of the game but I'm not sure if a more standard set would be better so people could see the colors used better.
Thoughts? I'm putting a poll in the replies to this post if anyone is interested.
Fun day for #MiniPainting. Those are some #gneiss bases!
Today we've got some bandits from #DarkestDungeon. I tried out a new base design, using a marbling technique to make it look like the metamorphic rock gneiss. I think it would work better next time if I use a base with rock texture. #MiniaturePainting#DnD#DungeonsAndDragons#RPG
Alright #fedipaint I think my mini is ready to print. I am SO proud of this. Compared to what I've made before this is a huge step forward. If you see any flaws please don't tell me my delicate joy can't be handling that right now. Slice and print tomorrow and start getting some paint on this fella.
Well, over the past few days I’ve managed to knock out all of the remaining parts of the Kraken (except the eye lenses, always forget those).
Think this is up there as one of the best models I’ve painted. Happy with all aspects of the paint I put on it, just need to get the base right really…
Test run for "regiment" bases, I really like how the elements cross over, though the bevel to the bases makes the separation quite extreme. I used to run my skaven on strips with only the back rank on individual bases so I might do those too.
We can dwell on horrible unsolvable problems or we can paint minis til 4am (I need to be up at 7). I took photos thinking I was done then remembered the purity seals and gold hingmies on their bracer. I'll catch them next time.
So they look like smurfs though right. Like even more than ultrasmurfs.
Base color for spinosaurus body and touched up water that had been missed or needed to be darker. Plus mouth and teeth painted.
Tomorrow I will go wild with magenta/crimson/orange accents on the sail and head and shading for the water. #dnd#miniPainting
Spinosaurus progress shots!
I waffled a bit on the body colors and patterns, but I am quite pleased with how the cold grey, vermilion, and magenta look in the pattern together. The various spots and zigzags were fun to paint.
