The personal #MechanicalKeyboard I'm using in office, a GMMK 1 TKL with Gateron Blues that I've bought in September, has something wrong.
The <K> key is somehow malfunctioning: more often than not, when I click it it's not sending the key or it's sending it twice only when I click it again. 😒
Luckily it's hotswap. I should have some spare switches.
Hi, I'm clearly new here, so here's an #introduction.
I'm Ariel, I'm 23 years old and I'm a #queer#autistic shitlord (shitlady? Fuck it, abolish the aristocracy, I'm a shit-talking #anarchist) with #adhd. Pronouns she/her.
Pastimes include #gaming and other media consumption, tinkering with my PC (usually trying to fix whatever's gone wrong with my #linux build this time, because I have to fucking clue what I'm doing) and with my #mechanicalkeyboard, saying silly things online and making random vocal stims at my girlfriend.
Interests include #tech, urban planning (actually I really just like #trains, #Walkability, and #citiesskylines) and petty online discourse, except for all the times I think it's beneath me.
I just swapped the springs on Akko Sponge #keyboard#switches. I replaced the original 40gf springs with 58gf two-stage springs, lubed with 105g0. These are now my second favorite #mechanicalkeyboard switches, right behind Kaihl Box Jades.
Here's an audio test if you are interested in listening / comparing:
So, I teased (or threatened if you think that way...) a #mechanicalkeyboard gallery post last night... So here it is: the new KBt:RE - an #IBM#PCjr inspired keyboard:
Today I got the Tecsee Sapphire #mechanicalkeyboard switches I'd intended to buy the other day when I accidentally ordered Ruby's. Also making my first foray into spring swapping: gonna use a pack of these on Akko Sponge switches.
Urgh... I apparently ordered the wrong switches for my #mechanicalkeyboard build... Meant to order Tecsee Sapphire switches, and ordered Ruby switches instead. Fortunately I should be able to return them and get the ones that I want instead...
Time for new #keycaps for my #mechanicalkeyboard builds. These are from Yong Qui, doubleshot PBT, about 1.4x mm thick. Good feel in the fingers, nice & consistent legends. More when I actually use them in a build.
