I've been reading Discoverability by Kris Rusch, and though it's a decade old, it makes some really good points... my main take-away is to relax, since getting any type of significant sales on your first book is next to impossible 😅

23. Who do you publish through or aim to publish with? How's it going?
I have used IngramSpark for two books now. It's been fairly easy to use, and customer service has been fairly responsive the few times I have called upon them.
My books are listed many places with one click. The only places I haven't seen them have been Apple and Google. I've acquired readers around the world.
This guy has been put for a week now, and I've been so excited to see that people have bought and enjoyed it, and even left a few nice reviews. If you missed it, it's available in loads of places, including Kobo Plus. Should be in paperback on Barnes and Noble later today.

Yep. This is my pen name.
My given name is both very hard to pronounce and spell for non-Germans. I want to be findable in searches on the internet and Amazon. I do like this persona I have created.
I picked Hannah as a nice, international first name, easy to say. Steenbock was the last name of my beloved Grandma.

Oh, I love this one. He was shaped by an abusive alcoholic father, a rough rural environment and well... patriarchy.
He got dealt a bad hand, and he let himself be overcome by bitterness and envy. It made him angry and resentful. This all culminates in him murdering his best friend, who proceeds to haunt him.
Rumi's actually the first character I came up with, and the one that changed the most! I'd planned for someone much more happy-go-lucky and pure, but when I got to draft, Horace occupied a lot of that space, and Rumi became the grumbly one 😂
