Ever wanna make a #hoax on #Facebook just because you can? It would be so easy. Nothing malicious, but like you could definitely convince a lot of people that this Potato Festival and its mascot is real.
Right to repair - a new #EU law was finally adopted.
They're talking about the availability of spare parts 10 years after the last model is released.
Too little, too late.
I have appliances which are 20 years old with only minor defects and I can't find spare parts anymore. 20+ years should be a normal period of availability of spare parts IMHO.
For example, my #fridge is 21 years old. I've measured its consumption. It is still on par with current fridges (A+). So there is no need to replace it yet. But the door gasket is all cracked and needs a replacement.
And there is none available.
I think its life could be easily extended to 30 years or more.
5 or 10-year lifetime for kitchen appliances is a #hoax, don't accept it. Demand more.
Be skeptical about everything you hear about the Israeli//Palestinian conflict.
There's a lot of false information out there. Be highly skeptical of EVERYTHING you hear from both sides.
"The White House has walked back President Joe Biden’s claim that he saw pictures of beheaded children following Hamas’s deadly attack on Israel.
The reversal came after Biden on Wednesday described seeing images of mutilated children during a meeting with Jewish leaders at the White House.
Biden’s claims were featured on the front pages of Western newspapers, and reports of beheaded babies have been cited in some quarters as justification for revenge attacks and the collective punishment of civilians in Gaza.
The Israeli army has said that it cannot confirm the claims, which were repeated on Wednesday by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s spokesperson Tal Heinrich."
VIDEO:
The claim that 40 babies were maybe beheaded in Israel is already being walked-back by the reporter who made the claim, but here is a real video from Gaza today...
but...
This is so dumb. The #AI based it's rendition of #Jesus on the #ShroudOfTurin—an artifact that has been definitively debunked as a #hoax by science. This is the practical equivalent of using AI to speculate about what Jesus looked like based on those pictures of Cesare Borgia so many #Christians have on their wall. This gets us no closer to understanding what the man, if he actually existed, looked like. Call it "Christian masturbation".
#Arizona state Sen. Justine #Wadsack is an intentionally #dishonest piece of shit. On the anniversary of 9/11, she blasted out #conspiracytheories and #discredited hoaxes, calling the #attacks an "inside job", and promoting a #fake#transcript from United #flight93. When people pointed out that the transcript is a #hoax, she didn't delete her post, or acknowledge her #mistake. Instead, she hid the comments that corrected her. She is the definition of human #garbage.
Vivek #Ramaswamy is going to close out the #debate with an impromptu rap performance in the hope that everyone will forget he said #climateChange is a #hoax.
The false campaign by environmental activists claimed that the toy giant was launching a new line of decomposable Barbies and would stop using plastic by 2030. Some news outlets, including People, The Washington Times and Dow Jones Newswires, fell for the fake campaign, publishing articles on the new dolls.
"Any challenge to [#China's #economic] progress – and to the image of China – is perceived as hostile.
Not too long ago, that included #ClimateChange, which, from about 2009-2011, was often depicted in Chinese books and popular TV shows as a Western #hoax designed to torpedo China’s economic rise."
