Hundreds of rockets were fired at Israel, militants in paragliders flew over the border
Hamas approached the border fence, blew up holes in it and allowed hundreds to infiltrate into Israel, many of them in trucks and motorcycles.
Hamas also attempted to infiltrate via the sea, but Navy forces repelled the attack

Nach den massiven Angriffen der Hamas gehen die Gefechte auf israelischem Boden weiter. Die Zahl der Toten steigt auf beiden Seiten: Insgesamt wurden mehr als 600 Opfer gemeldet. Zwei israelische Geiseln sollen befreit worden sein.
