I don't think you can tell, things are floating by, even in this low light before sunrise. I have never had a dangerous current on my shoreline before. It's floating objects to my side this morning. I should do a shore patrol and rescue that canoe that went by last night, if it's still in the harbour.
The water outside my basement door has gone down, but inside, I Still have 18 inches, from the rising water table. The water stays until that goes down.
So after the actual aurora I stuck around to see Aurora, the goddess of dawn. Quite glad I did actually as the colours and the vista were pretty sublime. #aurora#dawn#NewZealand
A couple of panos of the frosty Vale of Porlock and Luccombe this morning. This view from Webber’s Post has always frustrated me, ‘cos the viewpoint just isn’t high enough! So I took the drone up there this morning. It’s amazing what an extra 75 metres gives you. #exmoor#exmoornationalpark#uk#frosty#frost#dawn
I was late getting on my walk, and daylight had already begun.
There would have been some decent #twilight photos if I wasn't mid-walk, when this started. #Dawn#OnMyWalk
Simply gorgeous first light this morning. Here's the view from my kitchen window as sunlight strikes the hills on the other side of the harbour. Those colours! #beauty#dawn
I think the sun will miss those clouds, making it a less-than-spectacular sunrise.
In the west, inch by inch, the moon is creeping through the trees, looking for a parking spot, and I'm shooting two photos every minute of the way. I'll make you a movie of it later @MaJ1 , when I get the camera downloaded and sorted. Still running East , every other minute, to check the approaching sunrise.
Wrong place, wrong time, but for once in my life, I wish I could see the Navy Ships for Fleetweek.ca
I saw the video of the HMCS Margarette Brooks and I'd love to find a senior rating to take me below the tour decks to see the quarters and machinery spaces
But, it's $100 in gas to go to the city now.. I can't justify a pleasure trip
T-shirt at 7am. It will chill shortly, as the rising sun sucks the heat from the earth. It sure is calm on the ocean. Something swam by, perhaps an otter, sometimes a seal, depending on the tides.
I can get started on some work soon. I just bathed Maya again, actually, I gave her the shower wand to walk under while we shampooed her fur.
It's too warm inside. I started a wood fire before I realized how warm it was.
