For creative folks, here's a thread with a couple dozen grant, fellowship, residency, etc. opportunities 🧵
GRIN S+T+ARTS RESIDENCY ($40K)
Open to artists internationally, this residency is looking for artists who can provide critical reflection and envision future potential and solutions that can address the digital and ecological transition in Europe.
Black women-owned businesses are vital to our economy yet receive less than one percent of venture capital funding.
We'll award four lucky small businesses with $20,000 grants, digital tools to help them grow their business online, and mentorship so they can continue to bolster their business.
Finnish-based art residency that offers accommodation, travel expenses (one return trip, cheapest possible), and a working grant (based on per diem, approx. €300 per week).
Cartier Women's Initiative Science & Technology Pioneer Award ($30-100K)
Open to women entrepreneurs from any country/sector, this award highlights disruptive solutions built around unique, protected, or hard-to-reproduce technical or scientific advances that require heavy R&D, a long commercialization cycle, high capital intensity, technology risk, and complexity.
In fall 2023 and winter 2024 Wave Farm will host two separate three-month fellowships. This is a part-time engagement for a radio researcher and artist living and working in the United States.
ARTISTS: We can ALL use this reminder! It's easy to get caught up in selling and lose sight of the PASSION. Always keep that FIRE!! Always...
COLLECTORS: You matter so much to us Independent Artists.
When you BOOST/FOLLOW or COLLECT our art, it allows us the ability to work on our craft. Priceless!
Anyone have anything exciting to share about your creative efforts this week?
Last week I had an out of town houseguest and a big party so I got nothing done. My manuscript is at around 34k words and I’m shooting for 40k by the end of this week.
