Listen. Just for those Apple app authors crowing about how exciting #iOS17 is and how they’re starting to code for that. Even #iOS16. Just understand that iPad Air 2’s, and god knows how many other “legacy” devices that actually still work perfectly fine, CANNOT be updated beyond 15.7.9. I have my Air 2 open and on a stand with #Trello right now, and THANKFULLY #MonaApp also still runs on it as do many of the other apps I use. But please, PLEASE - especially if your app just does text or checkboxes or notifications, right - because you’ve been able to manipulate that stuff since iOS1 or so - PLEASE don’t make your app depend on minimum iOS16 or 17. Mona didn’t. Follow their lead.

People on older devices don’t give a toss “what percentage of Apple users as a whole are using iOSx”. Believe it. The Air2 works fine, as does my iPhone13 Pro on 15.4.1.

Ideally, I want to be able to just launch one container and have it up and going. Tip for Trello users who miss the old markdown editor:

Open up your browser's inspector, navigate to "Local Storage" and add:

• Key: featureFlagOverrides
• Value: {"aaaa.web.editor": false}

Every Trello card will now use the old markdown-style editor. ✅

Note that the above is all case sensitive, since that's a variable name and a JSON blob.

I really hope #Trello never removes this hidden feature flag because I rely heavily on markdown in my Trello cards. 😅

Edit: Aaaaand it doesn't have notifications when the mobile app isn't running. Fail. Especially for a TASK management app.

Edit2: Okay, my bad, my bad. It DOES have notifications, only configurable from the desktop app. Meat's back on the menu, boys.
