Good Morning from #Sydney 🇦🇺 Central Station, a busy transport hub with #InterCity and #Suburban train services, #LightRail and more. It also is a nice place for the railfan (and, I understand, a convenient one for the commuters).
Trump said at a "messaging event" in #GrandRapids, #Michigan, "It's a very bad thing happening. It's going to end on the day that I take office, which will be Jan 20."
He lied about the #PublicSafety dangers from #migrants, repeating a favorite term of his "Biden migrant crime."
"The #suburban#housewives actually like Donald #Trump, you know why, because I'm the one who's gonna keep them safe ... If you don't want illegal aliens crawling through your windows & ransacking your drawers, then you must vote for .. the fact that we have to throw crooked Joe Biden out of office.”
Amusingly, attempting to find the pattern on Google using reverse image search has matching patterns for various ancient Roman-era archeology, ha ha. #suburban#archeology
I have figured out what bothers me about some of the yards around here: they are planted for looks, not functionality or with any regard to habitat for local wildlife, functionality (for humans or animals), but solely for looks/decor. Thus entire yards made of plastic. (plastic lawn... useless, polluting, terrible looking) #random#suburban#suburbs#yards
Things that make zero sense: rolling out a giant mat of toxic, shredded plastic to cover your yard so it looks green, and to prevent anything from surviving in that spot. #suburban#plastic#lawns
The oldest couple in the family moved from a secluded #suburban home to an #AssistedLiving place. To everybody's relief, they are enjoying their new environment.
It's a seriously privileged place, basically a decent hotel with three meals a day and as much bingo as you can play.
They have a good sense of humor and don't mind the #Hotel#California vibe.
They ask whether increasing residential #segregation is also decreasing the accessibility to daily amenities. They find that accessibility to banks, grocery stores and corner kiosks has decreased significantly, whereas accessibility to bars and restaurants has increased in the suburbs.
there are a lot of grudges i have with soviet union but i gotta hand it to them the urban planning was pretty good. i am looking at the photos of american streets and i just thank the universe every day that at least my city is walkable and has reliable public transportation
