Our names come in all shapes! Both #fediverse projects #Streams and #Kitsune now support Unicode usernames! This is something I have been talking about since I first joined the fedi in 2017 so I am very excited about this. I can't wait till I get a mention from someone with a username like @王李 or @դմիտրիԹբիլիսի@ժայռեր

I love #trains ! & I love #InterRail !! These are impressions from today’s trip to #ripe88 : tea ceremony in the Dutch train, German clouds (with #music notation electricity lines! ), #Polish brunch with additional Indonesian snacks, while reading a book about Native #American language: collectivist culture & animism grammer ! (There is no word for please: food is meant to be shared )

Just got back from my first #backpacking trip of the year and it did not disappoint! Set up base camp partway up a mountain next to a #stream, then summited the mountain the next day. Returned to camp for the night before heading back home. With the rainy conditions, people stayed away-- I didn't encounter a single person in two of the three days-- had the summit to myself! The ice is formed from the snow being packed down from many hikers which causes it to turn into ice. This icy section was close to the summit. At lower elevations, the trail was completely free of snow and ice. Bondcliff trail.

While the snow was busy melting at higher elevations in the #mountains yesterday, I stayed down in a valley and explored two #streams. This beautiful #waterfall was one of my many rewards!
