Review for Circuit Breakers on PSone from GamesMaster 70 - July 1998 (UK)
This is one of those games that I don't see anyone talking about anymore, but if you are looking for a super fun multiplayer game, be sure to give this one a try as it was one of my favourites back in the day.
There was a somewhat similar one on PS2/Xbox, but I can't immediately recall it's name...
I really love finding these kinds of articles, especially when they included interviews and such.
So much info gets lost over time as physical magazines just disappear.
I'm slowly finishing issue 79, which is another incredible issue.
It has a 5 page tips section with beautiful MGS artwork as well as a 6 page review for it as well.
The mid to late 90's were something incredibly special.
Super happy with this pickup.
I saw the Japanese version on Play-Asia last month go for something like €180 and thought I had completely missed the boat on it.
Then I come across a local seller that is selling the Strictly Rare version for €55, so I jumped on that. 🥰
Been diving deep into shoot em ups this past week, so I was very pleasantly surprised that I was able to find a brand new copy of Shikhondo Soul Eater on PlayStation 4 for just a bit over its original price.
Especially as this one was quite hard to find at one point and the price had shot up.
@dlove67 that’s certainly a valid thing to be jealous about. I think the last truly awesome collectors edition game I bought on PC was Fallout 4. They’re so rare these days.
Preview for Killzone 2 on Playstation 3 from GamesMaster 203 - October 2008 (UK)
While the game had it's issues, especially with input latency, I loved playing this one online.
The various modes during each round were such a breath of fresh air compared to the normal deathmatch stuff.
@Dennis5891 Gears of War is really fun, but somehow the multiplayer never clicked with me.
The constant flopping from cover to cover constantly, while pulling off shots just annoyed me so much that I didn't even want to bother to get better at it.
The single played campaigns are tons of fun though as are the horde modes.
