Last year I did a regular Friday music thread on Twitter, on songs about climate change. Time to revive it here. I'll start with the songs I tweeted last year, for anyone who missed them, then: new songs! #ClimateSongs#ClimateRocks
Interestingly, #Pitbull's songs do not contain environmental messages, he just names his albums that way:
2012: "Global Warming"
2014: "Globalization"
2017: "Climate Change"
In interviews, he says: "If I made a record about [climate change], nobody would listen to it. I make records for people to have a good time, [...] but with the titles, they start to connect the dots like a treasure hunt that I put together for them
For this week's #ClimateRocks, we'll continue our genre tour, with a rap song called "Global Warming" by #Pitbull, from his 2012 album, also called Global Warming.
It's a very short song (1:24), and acts as an introduction to the album. So even if you don't normally dig rap, take a listen...

Yes, Cyndi is settling in, but had round two of super elevated energy after an hour snooze. Stevie seems to be enjoying, at least somewhat, having a dog that wants to play. Here she's on the sofa with a typical #PitBull grin on her face.
And without thinking, when she ripped a piece off her new chew toy and was trying to eat it, I just nonchalantly fished the piece out of her mouth. Well, 5 different pieces. I guess I just know & trust the breed.
Our #pitbull has been glued to my side since we returned home from #osh23. It’s the first time she’s been with a sitter and I think it stressed her out. #pitbullsOfMastodon
Lola (left) and Mister Lemons (right) are out of the shelter. They are still looking for their families but they can sleep in a calm home with their foster families surrounding by love.
