Oh, if you're looking for the documentation on how to set up netboot xyz (step by step) as well as how to create a Windows PXE boot disk, it's all documented here!
Back in my tech support days I thought that if I had PXE network boot at home, that I "made it". Well, that day has come! This past week I learned all about netboot xyz! I can now boot and install any operating system over the network!
Can we get all the hardware vendors together in a room and force them to agree that changing boot order preferences in a UEFI environment was absolutely a terrible decision?
I mean, it's not like we reimage servers after deployment or anything. And it's inconceivable that we would ever want to consistently PXE boot after installation and check if there's a configuration change set up for a system... /s
Für was fehlen euch Anleitungen? #iFixit#Reparatur#repaircafe#RightToRepair
Since #Apple's devices are literally designed to be #fragile, I do think it's safe to assume if not demand that having parts from a donor machine should allow one to fix an issue...
Just like on any major brand laptop.
Even #hp and it's #ProBook#Laptops with their #FUD-based #VendorLock for #RAM that literally bricks #PXE and remote/headless/timer-based booting don't literally lock up unbootable if you were to take a differen ProBook's RAM sticks, WIFI, WWAN, SSD, Keyboard, Screen.
