When it looks like Last of Us Factions will never be released, but reports of a Last of Us 2 remaster are emerging, I'm starting to wonder why I bought a PS5.
Pretty much all of the games I've played have had PS4 versions, and developers are now just resorting to lazy cash grab remasters instead of making new games.
Remastering PS4 games doesn't even make sense because the PS5 is backwards compatible, rendering remasters unnecessary.
@EighthLayer Porting it to PC makes sense after doing it with the first one, but I can't see what the point is in releasing a PS5 version when the existing game has already been patched to run at 60fps on PS5.
Sure, you could get VRR and maybe 120fps. But I'm not sure that's worth another £70, which they would no doubt ask for.
I'm just tired of the same games being re-released, and the new games not really being very innovative. 😕 Not the AAA ones anyway.
Had to take apart my ds4 tonight to try to fix my dpad but all attempts to clean the contacts were a dead end. Looks to me like the film circuitry (which is quite cool but) isn't functioning as expected. So it looks like I'll be using the xbox controller for a while. #gaming#technology#ps4
It would be nice if repairability was a bigger priority for #gaming companies. I feel like this controller is needlessly difficult to take apart. I haven't tried other modern controllers yet but wouldn't be surprised.
@eoinoneill I know these still use carbon contacts for the silk screened PCB. At least on dualshock 3 the backing foam material slowly deformed over time so a solution I've used a few times is to just put some tape in the foam's slot to increase connectivity.
