Les 28-29-30 juin 2024, le campus de la Manufacture des Tabacs de l’Université Lyon 3 accueillera la 10e conférence autour du projet OpenStreetMap: le «State of the Map» France (SotM-Fr).
To improve routes used by cycling apps thst leverage #OpenStreetMap, check out the free open source app #StreetComplete so you can easily mark bike lanes, bike racks, and surface types.
In addition, you can capture images of your local bike paths with the Mapillary app, save them locally, and then upload them to panoramax.openstreetmap.fr which is the only completely open source street level imagery tool.
Is there any #osm client, preferably Android, but I'd take a website too, that lets you query the amenities more detailed?
E.g. I want to look for Parking and filter on places that have maxstay defined.
#Osmand can do some filtering, but it does not let me search for all possible properties. Organic Maps does apparently no filtering at all, as far as i can see.
I'm looking for a friendly solution to map location (points, areas) and some additional data of trees / plants on our woodland.
Ideally it is something with a browser interface where complicated edits are done on a PC, and field data gathering is done on mobile. Ideally there's a way to include photos (no deal breaker).
20yrs ago I'd use a semi-licensed ArcGIS product. These days I am lost.
Grateful for tips! Is there for example a way to use the #OSM editor?
Started looking at KartoView, Mapillary and Mapilio as ways to contribute to @openstreetmap KartoView log in with OSM doesn’t seem to work. Mapilio crashes when you try to record. Mapillary work quite well, then I found out it’s been bought by #Meta and now I’m not so keen. Any recommendations? #OpenSource#OpenStreetMap#DigitalMap#OSM
Решил расширенно заняться корректировкой данных о моем СНТ в #OpenStreetMaps. А то там данные 5-6 летней давности. Многих домов нет вообще. Нумерации нет в принципе. Границы садоводства указаны неверно.
Проблема в том, что в #OSM для базовой отрисовки использовался спутниковый снимок... не знаю какого года, но на нем нет даже соседнего ДНП - вместо него лес. Стал думать, на основании чего рисовать. И тут дошло: у меня же есть дрон! Поднять его в воздух, сделать снимок куска СНТ метров с 60, подложить под карту, смасштабировать и всё! Потом так же со следующим куском.

Ladestation-Apps für Elektrofahrzeuge bräuchten meiner Ansicht nach Filter für Ladestationen mit:

-Spielplatz
Café
Restaurant (richtiges, nicht Systemgastronomie)
Picknickplatz
schöne Aussicht
etc
Die erzwungene Entschleunigung durch das Laden empfinde ich als echten Vorteil des elektrisch Reisens, aber ich würde das Angenehme gern mit dem Nützlichen verbinden. #elektromobilitat #ladestation #reisen
Dafür müssten sie eigentlich nur #OpenStreetMap#OSM als Basis nehmen. Da sind dies Daten alle erfasst und jedermensch kann sich an der Pflege beteiligen. @matthias@daszeiserl
My first hiking trail in #OpenStreetMap. 💪
It's actually a pilgrimage trail. Not that I'd be very religious, but it's a nice trail for hiking, my favorite, and it hadn't been in #OSM yet.
Wer vielleicht #OpenStreetMap schon kennt, aber sich bisher nicht an #wikidata getraut hat, für den läuft bis Monatsende eine spannender Wettbewerb, um Objekte dort zu georeferenzieren:
Wer würde denn auf die Idee kommen, dass Waze auch ins Google-Imperium gehört? Ich erst mal nicht als Laie. Da könnte ich ja gleich bei Maps bleiben. Und bei Waze bin ich wohl teilweise sogar völlig gläsern, da andere Fahrer mich "sehen" können.
Was bleibt noch als Alternative, wenn man aus Google raus will?

It was my first time attending and speaking at a State of the Map #sotm event. The spirit is amazing, and the knowledge I got - priceless. I felt the open source spirit. Something I can not tell for some #foss -branded events. Thank you, #Croatia and #Serbia#osm community.
