Happy Hollow Gardens in South Roanoke County, Virginia is truly a hidden gem. The wooden walkway makes it easy to wander among the blooming azaleas, especially in the early Spring when everything is vibrant and colorful. The contrast between the green trees and the pink azaleas is simply stunning.

Had a busy night at work. We had nice heavy storm, and since everything was fresh after work I decided a walk through our local preservation area was called for.
There's a grand 4 mile loop around with other minor boardwalks that overlook the "pond" area. They have art installations along the path that are created from sticks from the park.
