I use this stretch of road at least five days a week so I'm excited for the proposed improvements, include bike lanes. It'll take some time but since I don't plan on moving soon I can wait.
When I had cable, I used to regularly watch #TopChef, but I haven't watched it in years. However, I resolved to watch this season since it takes place across #Wisconsin. I really enjoyed the first episode of S21 and I'm glad the chef I found most obnoxious was booted first.
The episode was a little light on the Wisconsin quotient, though someone on the production evidently thought the Hoan Bridge was pretty cool.
@bedirthan I can't remember everywhere they filmed, but they were only in Madison for a few days. I think they went to Door County - they're definitely going to a fish boil.
"With just seven roundtrips daily, the Hiawatha is already the most popular state-supported Amtrak route in the Midwest. Hourly trains trains will bring Chicago and Milwaukee closer together, strengthen the economic and social ties between them, and help revitalize both city centers.
This corridor is also the foundation for building regional rail to Green Bay, Madison, and many other cities"
I did a 5.3 mile bike ride this morning and followed it up with a 10 minute walk. The ride was a bit rough since I skipped the last two days due to being ill on Saturday evening.
@rasterweb Wauwatosa! I was born in the now torn-down county hospital that was there. (It was in the same location as the newly rebuilt hospital.) Spent my childhood in West Allis. I’d often run to the art museum and back in my late teen years. You just brought me on a journey through time.
Did a 5 mile ride this morning, which I thought would only be 4 but hey, did the 5. It was cold but not too windy. Looking forward to slightly warmer weather (40s to 50s would be nice.)
I did a 5 mile ride this morning through the cemetery and over to Dineen Park, which was pretty nice. They've got 5 tennis courts and hopefully no pickleball!
