Preview for Sagaia on Sega Master System from Sega Force 6 - June 1992 (UK)
I usually always gravitate towards Darius Gaiden by default, but this past month I've been delving into the others again thanks to the Darius collections and I'm still amazed just by how creative these all were.
Brilliant series.
And I don't know what it is, but this line goes straight to my soul: 🥰 https://youtu.be/u1t2YC5CRtE?si=vhYd-Lmv9pLm-vLt&t=35
Swapped the reset cap on my Mark III, so now I can use the (knockoff) EverDrive on it. 10µF to 0.1µF is all it takes. Thanks to Neto from SMSPower for figuring this out. #retrogaming#sega#mastersystem
@ChartreuseK I was also surprised. the cartridge pinout doesn't offer a reset line on the Mark III (it does on the US SMS,) the everdrives in general seem to be really picky about it. You'll see similar weird behaviour when trying to take a knockoff EverDrive N8 to a real NES or a knockoff Famiclone to a real EverDrive for a similar reason.
@leadedsolder@ChartreuseK what about original Krikzz carts? I try to buy those if I can afford it, to support him and UA.
Right now I have only the three games for the SMS.
@OutofPrintArchive Somewhere I have that Asterix game for the Gameboy Advance, where the game is 3D and looks like it could've been a PlayStation title.
Can't remember what it's called or where I put it, but I love this series.
I did have the one on Super Nintendo though.
And I remember playing the arcade beat em up back in the day, which was super fun.
Such a shame it never got a home port.
And I just have to repeat myself, but I'm in awe of all the incredible artwork in this magazine series.
Just look at that gorgeous Splatterhouse piece right here!
I have a hard time wrapping my head around how the artist was able to create so many pieces each and every month for Sega Force as well as N-Force!
@yesterzine
Yeah, this was a bit of a rough one.
But is issue 4 it's back to having tons of incredible games.
It's really fascinating to see how game droughts from back in the early 90's are preserved in these magazines.
I still remember for example, how it felt early on in the Super Nintendo days after launch.
Very slim picking for the next 3 months or so while I waited for the next releases to finally arrive.
When they did, it opened up the floodgates. 😅
It’s Friday, which means it’s Retro Game Of The Week time! This week, who you gonna call… yeah, them, as I delve into Ghostbusters for the Sega Master System and Sega Mega Drive!
Review for one of my favourite beat-em-ups on the Mega Drive, although this is for the Master System version of Alien Storm.
Taken from Sega Force 2 - February 1992 (UK)
Took a quick picture of the Sega Force magazines that just arrived.
All 19 issues are here and in good shape.
As well as the few CVG issues I was missing from the run that I'm working on. Mainly the Freeplay supplement that was missing in issue 194 as well as issue 154 that I didn't have.
I'll start scanning the first issue of Sega Force later tonight. 😊
