Review for Pengo on game Gear.
Sega Force 4 - April 1992 (UK)
I have to add that I feel they are being a bit too harsh on Pengo here.
Although I understand since the game was a decade old by the time it released on Game Gear.
I loved it in the arcade and it was actually my first GG game. 😊
I love the game so much that I have the Japanese MD, Xbox 360 and Switch versions as well.
Previews for Griffin and GG Aleste on Game Gear from Sega Force 3 - March 1992 (UK)
Remember that you can get GG Aleste on the Aleste Collection for PS4 and Switch, but only in Japan.
It includes GG Aleste 1 and 2 as well as Aleste 1 and 2 on Master System and the brand new and brilliant GG Aleste 3 by the masters at M2.
Took a quick picture of the Sega Force magazines that just arrived.
All 19 issues are here and in good shape.
As well as the few CVG issues I was missing from the run that I'm working on. Mainly the Freeplay supplement that was missing in issue 194 as well as issue 154 that I didn't have.
I'll start scanning the first issue of Sega Force later tonight. 😊
"The Sword of Stone is a new game for the Game Gear. It is a visual novel with free roaming in a world. You get to play as several characters and progress in the story throughout 7 different chapters. This demo allows the player to try the first chapter of the game in its entirety."
Never used it but I'm hoping to do more retro collecting, I just got in some original Game Gear """clear""" cases for carts and most are somewhat yellow.
I figure if there's anything authentic retro I'll feel the least bad about possibly cosmetically damaging it's these so I should probably use them for practice if I can.
(why are these never actually clear btw? Plastic can be clear. I seent it.)
