Has anyone here used Figma? What to do when there is no Add Flow Starting Point? Currently I can only have one flow and need multiple. #figma#uidesign#ui
Just ran into the #Figma dev seat restriction. If I'm understanding correctly, I (dev) would need to ask the separate design agency for a seat in their plan, for access to the previously free inspect feature, which they don't use but I do.
Got a new small Wacom to use with Figma - trying to wean myself from the trackpad for ergonomy sake. Hardware is beautiful, software’s shockingly bad, almost the same as the last time I used it a decade ago.

Once again facing that classic #designsystem conundrum: Theme and/or customize a 3rd party component library, or build one from scratch.
Actually, we need two component libs: A #WebComponent one for web products and a #ReactNative one for iOS & Android apps. We already have designs in #Figma and want to have parity in terms of design & naming across Figma, web & RN.
My gut and past experiences make me lean towards building from scratch.
Magnifier is a Figma plugin to create a magnifying effect on part of your design. This is nice for presentations, but also when you create visuals for training or support pages

TIL that scroll position/state management has changed in #Figma prototypes. I wondered why the screen wasn’t staying where I scrolled when I didn't have "Reset scroll position" checked.
Now, screens that have a similar name + / will keep the same scroll position.
Example:
"Home/Default” and Home/Expanded” will share scroll position.
I'm a big fan of Figma's Dev Mode, which has managed to wipe out all the hand-off solutions from the recent past. Remember Zeplin, anyone?
Just got a sad email that Figma is shifting Dev Mode exclusively to their paid plan. It's a subtle move but quite significant. Our side projects and NGO work intensively used the view-only Figma Dev Mode.
Moving developers to a paid plan is going to hurt. Are we looking at a Zeplin Revival?
I am learning #Figma (my first day) and plan to incorporate it into a Digital Media course where Adobe XD was used previously. Excited to work with it!
This is big news. Adobe will no longer be acquiring Figma. No will another company pursue Figma instead? I expect Microsoft, Amazon AWS and others would have a strong interest.
