Addressing a judge in an #Atlanta courtroom, she tearfully (cry me a river, you folks incited a freaking #insurrection ffs) expressed regret for taking part in efforts to keep Trump in #power after he lost the #2020election.
#Ellis said that after #Trump’s defeat in 2020, she believed that challenging the #election results on his behalf should have been pursued in a “just & legal way.” But she said that she had relied on info provided by other lawyers, including some “with many more years of experience than I,” & failed to do her “due diligence” in checking the veracity of their claims.
(She’s actually playing the dumb little girl card. Give me a freaking break. Take responsibility for your actions woman!)
Through his attys, #Chesebro claimed he was merely offering #legal opinions… to #Trump… & unsuccessfully argued to block memos & other emails he sent to #Republicans across the country & others working on the campaign from being used at trial.
Once that effort failed it was discovered in one email that Chesebro clearly stated his strategy was #political, not legal.
