#PS5 protip: if a game's headphone mix sounds like it's got way too narrow a soundscape, try disabling “3D Audio for Headphones" in the PS5's OS-level settings.
In the past I noticed that #DeathStranding sounded really muddy in headphones and have noticed the same with #FinalFantasyVIIRebirth. The latter sounds better with 3D audio turned off, and thankfully the headphone mix is otherwise fine.
Provoked by a dollop of hopeful shame, there are times I still wonder if I’m “on the spectrum”. Then something about human society wallops me right into “Yes. Yes, I really am so bloody autistic.” No matter how consummately I try to emulate, anticipate, script, conscript, or model it… neurotypical human social brouhaha is a game I can never ever really play at, never mind win.
I’m too old to really care to try anymore. So… cheers to us. 🥂
@Shufei@actuallyautistic Since discovering my own #autism, I keep wondering how autistic I actually am. I keep seeing characters on TV or in videogames like Sam from #DeathStranding and feeling like a) they seem more autistic than myself and b) I share some of their traits as well. Until I get officially diagnosed, I’ll just keep asking myself the same questions. 🤔
I’m starting to understand the more critical reviews of #DeathStranding. Saying it's gorgeous and a work of art, good story, etc — but the actual gameplay gets kinda old.
Though I do feel like new things like vehicles and such keep getting introduced to keep it interesting. I think what's more annoying is BTs showing up out of nowhere. Maybe I just need to turn the difficulty down to 'story’.
It's not difficult by any means, but annoys me when they show up.

Started playing Death Stranding for the first time. Few hours in, never thought delivering packages could be this exciting and fun!. Also love the "multiplayer" functionality (if you can call it that), really cool way to semi interact with other players. And the music, as usual with Kojima games, amazing! Love the experience so far.
Looks to be a #horror game and I HOPE THAT IT IS so we can finally get closure from Kojima's never-got-released, legendary of a game (playable trailer), #SilentHills P.T. 😭
I just played through #DeathStranding. I put it off for a long time because the tests hadn't convinced me. Since it was now available for free on PSPlus, I just tried it out. In fact, it was the best game for me that I was allowed to play in recent years. Very captivating and a great story, despite around 50 hours of playing time, I liked to play it until the end! It feels like 4 hours of video for the credits was a bit much, but we already know that from #Kojima and Metal Gear Solid IV🙃
The very best part about #DeathStranding#PS5 is that it more than doubled my already deep respect for Yoji Shinkawa's artistry. Just for starters, all the fucking Reverse Trikes are immaculate.
