So, die letzte Folge von Infiltration (Original: Invasion) ist geschafft. Die mit Abstand schlechteste Serie, die ich bislang auf Apple TV+ gesehen habe. Ganz klar keine Empfehlung.
#Constellation isn't being renewed, and I won't ever know if my wild theories were correct, or if I was simply a victim of continuity errors. Left out in the cold, with nothing more than a lantern to warm my heart...
So a happy accident of having Apple TV+ is discovering an overwhelming number of sci-fi offerings available.
The first of which I'm watching is...
Constellation (2024)
It's about an astronaut on the International Space Station, which after an accident occurs, leaves limited life support and systems, and she's by herself while having to jerry rig her escape home.
There was an experiment that occurred just before the accident happened and NASA wants it transported back.
It has an intriguing set up. What's slightly creepy is that it plays with the time line, and has the astronaut is back on Earth, apparently seeing things after she kidnaps the experiment. It's not exactly clear what's happening.

I'm about 5 episodes in, and it's freaking me out.
There's multiple realities?
They go through the whole quantum physics explanation.
There are some creepy moments... encountering another version of yourself or others... the pills they give some astronauts... the couple that made recordings that ONLY some can hear in certain places... the cover ups....
By the way, Noomi Rapace is perfectly cast as the lead and Jonathan Banks does an amazing job being secretive AND menacing.

Even though the whole #Constellation arc in #Starfield is a lazily conceived and generally poorly written Chosen One trope, it has its moments towards the end, largely as a result of riffing on the alternate realities level of Dishonored 2 (necessarily more clumsily since they’re using their creaky engine).
Anyway, there’s a ton of content outside this arc that is mostly great. Despite “finishing” a lot of the plot, I haven’t done at least one major arc and haven’t built a working outpost.
Die Herzdame meint gerade, Constellation sei wie Twin Peaks.
Also Twin Peaks habe ich geliebt. Sie fand es einfach nur grotesk. Constellation finde ich auch grotesk.
Aber ich mag ja auch Grotesken. 😊
Been offline most of the day, instead of catching up with doomscrolling I think I am going to watch today’s episode of #Constellation on Apple TV+. They are really making great quality sci fi.
