I started using Ubuntu when it came out. I was happy to be liberated from the user communities of the Knoppix derivatives.

I stared using Mint when it came out, but I am happy Ubuntu is still around. Any time I have to do something complicated and off the beaten path with my system at home I can always count of finding some HowTo docs for the sake of Ubuntu or help from the Ubuntu user community.
