@nunesgh @Flipboard Good to know! I could swear I used to be able to click "follow" then follow a link, but now I have to go through a copy/paste dance. Not sure if I changed a setting or something, but half the time I just don't bother following, and it's kinda bad.

I'll give it a try on mobile next time!

It was not you. This was a change on Mastodon version 4, if I'm not mistaken. The previous flow for following on browsers, with a pop-up window, was more intuitive, I agree. But I don't know what motivated the change. Maybe pop-up blocking by browsers? In any case, the flow on mobile apps has always been better, in my opinion.
